What is space-time?

Space-time is the combined structure of space and time that forms the framework of the universe. Instead of existing separately, space and time are connected and behave as a single four-dimensional fabric.

According to Einstein’s theory of relativity, massive objects bend this fabric. When space-time curves, objects moving through it follow those curves, which produces the effect we perceive as gravity.

This idea changed our understanding of the universe, which shows that gravity is not simply a pulling force but a consequence of how matter and energy shape the geometry of space itself.
