Magnetism is a force produced by moving electric charges. When charges move, they create magnetic fields that can attract or repel certain materials and other magnetic fields.

This is why electric currents generate magnetism and why magnets can influence one another. Magnetism and electricity are deeply connected and are actually two aspects of the same fundamental force.

Together they form electromagnetism, which governs the behavior of charged particles and is responsible for many everyday technologies, from electric motors to generators.
